Leading pharmaceutical company Mankind Pharma, one of the frontrunners in CSR activities within the pharmaceutical sector, has recently announced its association with actor Mohanlal as its corporate brand ambassador. Carry-forwarding the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the company has touched millions of lives across the hinterlands, especially amid the pandemic. Its initiatives are a testament to the fact that it not only strives to scale in terms of revenues but it also seeks to remain at the top when it comes to CSR activities.
In fact, earlier in June, Mankind Pharma has once again come in the limelight for its social initiatives. The pharma company offered Rs 1 lakh to Akshay Kothawale, a man who runs auto rickshaw and has been seen feeding over 400 people with his savings. In addition to this, Mankind Pharma has also been serving several migrant labourers for over two months during the nationwide lockdown.
Similarly, its new corporate Brand ambassador Mohanlal has always been actively involved in working for social causes which makes the association between the two all the more apt. Rajeev Juneja, CEO of Mankind Pharma, said “Mohanlal is a real fit as the corporate brand ambassador for Mankind Pharma. We believe in giving back to the society through our CSR activities. On the other hand, Mohanlal has never shied away from social causes and has been part of several public safety campaigns. Together we will continue to help our society and take steps towards making our nation Atmanirbhar.”
The Malayali actor is not the first person from the entertainment industry that Mankind Pharma has tied hands with. As a part of its two month-long campaign for its home pregnancy test kit brand Prega News, the company has roped in Anushka Sharma as its brand ambassador earlier in November.
