Rising temperatures have raised concerns in a world marred by catastrophic climate events wreaking havoc across the globe.

Climate change and Global warming have been associated with an increase in the usage of fossil fuels and Greenhouse gas emissions.

Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 countries at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris, France.

The agreement has a clause to keep temperatures from rising above 1.5 degrees from pre-industrial levels.

A report by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change indicates that crossing the 1.5°C threshold risks unleashing far more severe climate change impacts, including more frequent and severe droughts, heatwaves and rainfall.

The Human Need for Comfort at the Cost of Environment

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, people found themselves confined to their homes. Since then, the demand for smart apps that deliver food or groceries has risen manifold. Digital demand for applications that solve a problem or provide a service that makes our lives easier are in demand.

Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, the co-founders of the grocery delivery app Zepto, have gone above and beyond to make Zepto a unicorn. They started by making applications to make people’s day-to-day lives easy and hassle-free in today’s globalised world powered by industrialisation & urbanisation.

However, as industrialisation progresses, there is more and more use of fossil fuels, and plastic waste is piling up, causing an increase in greenhouse gas emissions and rising vehicular pollution.

Healing Mother Nature

Therefore, in order to heal our mother earth and build a sustainable future, Zepto founders tied up with Zypp, a Gurgaon-based EV startup and leading tech-enabled EV platform. The company’s vision lies in making India carbon-free through electric vehicles to provide last-mile connectivity and assimilate green mobility in its deliveries.

Moreover, another green initiative of these brilliant entrepreneurs in collaboration with Coca-Cola India is to collect PET bottles in Mumbai, thereby reducing plastic pollution, promoting waste management and helping keep our localities cleaner.

The Green Push

As technology improves and the energy needs increase with the population explosion currently being seen across the globe, the demand for cleaner alternatives will rise. This is happening right now as we speak, and in order to cater to the needs of 7 billion people, we need to boost our green energy production through increased manufacturing of solar panels, windmills, hydropower plants and invent new technologies.

Governments across the world are working towards attaining carbon neutrality or bringing down their carbon emissions which have stayed mere rhetoric’s.

Amidst this, two engineers raised their heads to combat the global issues at their end by doing wht they can; Bringing Positive Change.
