Robinhood Army, an NGO led by Meghna Charaya, and Ajay Tanwer, celebrated Lohri with slum children on Sunday evening.
Other NGOs to make slum children a part of other Lohri celebrations were names such as Bhole Bhandari Sewa Samiti, which distributed warm clothes amongst kids.
Manav Sewa Samiti, also dispersed warm clothes amongst slum families to help them combat city’s trembling weather.
Khushiyan, who runs by the motto of Connecting Helping Hands, celebrated Lohri with children at Shanti Gyan Sewa Trust. Spreading khushiyan, or happiness, the NGO hosted various activities such as Games, Music & Dance, and snacks for the shantytown children.
As the city shivers due to low temperatures, and there are a number of people on roads facing the unbearable winter, it is nice to see these NGOs extending warm gesture towards those in need.
