Renault-Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL), a leading automobile manufacturing company, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As part of its ‘Karpom Munneruvom’ (Learning for Progress) initiative, RNAIPL will invest over INR 1.4 crores to upgrade infrastructure at eight schools in and around Oragadam, Tamil Nadu. This initiative supports the Tamil Nadu Education Department’s ‘Namma School’ project to enhance state public school infrastructure.
Recognizing the pivotal role of education in driving social progress, Renault-Nissan Automotive India launched the Karpom Munneruvom CSR initiative in collaboration with local communities. The program, which translates to “transforming lives” in Tamil, seeks to provide quality education and support various aspects of child development. Between July and December 2023, RNAIPL will undertake a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade for eight schools in Tamil Nadu. This initiative is part of RNAIPL’s commitment to CSR and aligns with the Tamil Nadu Education Department’s ‘Namma School initiative‘, which aims to enhance the infrastructure of state public schools.
The infrastructure upgrades by RNAIPL will encompass the construction of new classrooms and restrooms. As well as the installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants to provide safe drinking water. In addition, CCTV cameras will be installed to enhance security, and inverters will ensure uninterrupted power supply in the schools.
The eight schools that will benefit from this initiative are in the following areas: Orathur, Nattarasampattu, Gunduperumpedu, Vadakkupattu, Umayalparenenchery, and Walajabad.
By investing in improving school infrastructure, RNAIPL aims to create a conducive learning environment for students, contributing to their educational experience.
