Epson receives EcoVadis Gold

Epson, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computer printers, has recently achieved yet another milestone. The Japanese electronics company received Gold Rating by EcoVadis for the third time in a row, which reflects its commitment to meeting the highest possible international CSR standards.

It also establishes Epson as an outstanding brand in sustainable and Environment Procurement categories and highlights its excellent achievement in Labor, Human Rights, and Ethics. The overall results show a 5 per cent increase as compared to the previous year, placing Epson in the top 2 per cent for CSR in its industry. The company believes in encouraging constructive communication with stakeholders, investors, and shareholders concerning the company’s sustainability and growth potential, and thus it has regularly been publishing Sustainability Reports and Global Environment Data to promote this transparency.

“Corporate Social Responsibility is at the heart of everything we do at Epson and this excellent achievement in CSR is as important and valuable to our business as financial success,” says, Minoru Usui, global president of Epson. He adds that the aim of Epson is to be an indispensable company that stands for creating unique, long term value by manufacturing excellent products that exceed the customers’ expectations, and also sustain the environment. “As a business, we have aligned all our activities to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and we are committed, above all else, to creating a better and more sustainable future.”
