The Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarship has delivered once again. The latest beneficiaries of the scholarship will be 44 meritorious students in Goa. The selected students will now be able to pursue any higher professional studies through the scholarship.

The Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant, was present at the event and applauded Vedanta’s efforts towards community development. He also commended the chosen candidates for their exemplary records and urged all the present students to utilise such opportunities to lay the foundations for a successful career.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pramod Sawant congratulated the students who received the scholarship and praised their hard work and highlighted the importance of high quality education. He further noted that the world is full of opportunities for anyone who possesses the right skills and encouraged the students to grab such chances.

The Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarship was created to aid students from economically weak backgrounds. The scholarship is awarded to shortlisted students who have shown excellent record in both academics and extra-curricular activities in the last three years. The awardees will then be assessed and selected after one-on-one interview round.

The initiative’s goal is to support the local talent, which despite facing financial hurdles, has shown great potential. The program aims to help them pursue higher studies for securing a brighter future.

Apart from the students selected for the scholarship program, the top three meritorious students from Govt. High School, Amona and Govt. High School, Navelim, were also felicitated by Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore business.

Director of Vedanta’s Value-Added Business, NL Vhatte, reiterated Vedanta’s commitment towards the Socio-Economic upliftment of communities through CSR programs. “Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarship is another step in our attempt to positively transform lives and be partner in the holistic development of communities,” he said.
