Nike everyday

Nike during announcing the news mentioned that the designers studied the hospital staff. The nurses have quite a tight schedule, they walk up to 4 to 5 miles a day and have around 12-hours of workday.

Pulse is designed to be supportive, lace-less, easy to clean and has plenty of traction to tackle the slippery conditions in the medical setting. The cushioning system in the shoes secure the foot completely and provides comfort at all levels.

For 16 years, the sneaker giant- Nike has been partnering with OHSU for the annual Doernbecher Freestyle Program. The company invites six young artists and designers from the hospital aged 8 to 15.

It is decided that the sale from these styles will be donated to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This year as well, six creators have contributed their skills to the Air Zoom Pulse.

The collection goes beyond footwear, and the Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection includes apparels, backpacks and more.

As a token of thanks, the patients are participating in designing the shoes, specifically for the medical professionals. This gesture allows the kids to express themselves and creatively contribute to the people who helped them.
