Born into a Devout Hindu Family in the Sujangarh sub-district of Rajasthan as Jaya Sharma, her parents, Shiv Shankar Sharma and Geeta Devi Haritpal, played an important part in her upbringing by sharing spiritual stories and teachings.
Early exposure to scriptures and spirituality ignited her interest in the subject, and she found herself leaning towards spirituality from a young age, starting her spiritual journey at the tender age of seven.
At the age of nine, she was well-versed with shlokas, scriptures and many songs such as Lingashtakam,” “Shiva Tandava Strotam,” “Madhurashtakamra,” “Shiva Panchakshara Stotram,” and “Daridraya Dahana Shiva Stotram.”
Under the guidance of her guruji, Govind Ram Mishra, she started reciting religious scriptures such as the Srimad Bhagwat Gita and the Sundarkand Path. Her thorough understanding of these texts allowed her to express them in a lucid manner, which attracted the masses to her teachings.
She was bestowed with the title “Kishori” by her guruji, which has become a part of her identity now and is embraced by her followers and the Kishori herself.
The main focus of her teachings is to spread faith and positivity among people who have lost their way and feel weak in their own convictions and the world around them. Jaya Kishori wants to build a better society for everyone and empower women so that they excel in all aspects of life.
