Wochardt Foundation collaborated with BSES MG Hospital to organize Blood Donation Camp

“What a privilege to be here on the planet to contribute your unique donation to humankind. Each face in the rainbow of colors that populate our world is precious and special.”

-Morris Dees

Donation is that cause for humanity which calms your soul and make you happy than ever. That feeling is out of this world when you go to your bed with a smile on your face, thinking about your contribution which you made in making the society a better place to live. The donation cannot be called less or more, the intention for the cause is more important. That intension can be the responsibility you felt to provide shelter to homeless; or it can be donating a part of yourself so that the person in need will have the privilege of that thing which they were lacking before, just like donating your blood to people in need.

Wochardt Foundation organized blood donation camp on the occasion of “World Blood Donor Day” by collaborating with BSES MG Hospital of the Brahma Kumaris in Mumbai. The camp was organized at Wochardt Towers and it was the initiative towards providing an opportunity to save the lives of people who are in need of the same and bring happiness in their lives so that they can also live it like others.

Trustee and CEO of Wochardt Foundation, Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala said that India faces a shortage of 3 million blood units per year according to WHO. With this initiative, Wockhardt Foundation and BSES MG Hospital aim to promote the message of helping the under underprivileged people who cannot afford basic medical treatment. They all want to help people in need of blood transfusion and make blood available for children suffering from thalassemia along with curing cancer patients, surgeries, accident cases and on other urgent basis requirements of particular patients.
