Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today flagged off a video van campaign here in a bid to educate people on the child rights in the state.
The three-year long campaign, launched by the Haryana Government in collaboration with Women and Child Development, will create awareness on children’s rights through a street play followed by screening of an animated film on the subject, Khattar said.
Three vans will visit 290 villages of Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad districts of Haryana, and will emphasize the message that ‘Education, Protection, Equity and Respect are primary rights of children’, he said.
“The awareness campaign on child rights is of a prime importance,” Mondar said.
Save the Children’ is an independent child rights organisation that works in the country and in over 120 nations around the world, officials said.
The campaign will be expanded in Punjab’s 550 villages after its launch in Haryana.
