UK’s Wealthiest Asian List 2016 ruled by Indians

United Kingdom hosted Asian Business Awards ceremony recently where Hinduja Brothers have conquered all by taking the uppermost stand in 101 wealthiest British Asians List. It is estimated that top slot for Hinduja Group became possible with their net worth increase by £ 2 billion to £ 15.5 billion. In an all the ascending view by £ 3 billion to £ 54.5 billion was observed in totality for those featured.

Srichand with his brother Gopichand Hinduja are putting up efforts to set up a defense industries plant to be headquartered in India. At the same time the duo are leading the operations of a conglomerate together that implicates all sorts of business from banking to automotive and power. A new possession that gained attention last year of Hinduja Brothers was an old War Office building at the junction of Whitehall and Horse Guards in London. Such property is valued £ 300 million and was bought for the purpose of redevelopment.
Since Hinduja Group is resting on first position, the second was taken up by steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal as published by leading Asian publishing house AMG. Basis ongoing steel demand crisis that has a worldwide affect Mittal witnessed his net worth drop by £ 2.7 billion to £ 9.7 billion. According to an official spokesperson, “the plunging share price of Arcelor Mittal in lieu of steel industry set back has made a drastic impact on the company.”
Concurrently the third place was owned by Sri Prakash Lohia who happens to be a highest new entry from last year’s record and has speedily made his way to top 3. A net worth of £ 3 billion for Lohia was reckoned as gained from his petrochemical and textile group, Indorama. Accordingly, other titles like ‘Global Investor’ and ‘Asian Business of the Year’ were given away at the event.
