New Jersey headquartered IT Services company, Cognizant has announced a fresh five-year $250 million CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiative at the global level to advance economic mobility, educational opportunity, diversity and inclusion, and the health and well-being of communities.
With the extensive global presence and this new initiative, the company will work towards creating stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities as they are emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This $250 million initiative aims to create conditions for people to thrive by expanding access to education, healthcare, and technology, and by advancing diversity and inclusion in communities around the world.” said Brian Humphries, CEO, Cognizant.
This initiative will leverage new philanthropic programs and in-kind contributions to offer educational opportunities and equip students, and workers with skills required as per today’s digital era. Also, it will drive efforts to improve the health and overall well-being of the individuals and families resulting in the betterment of the communities.
Additionally, the new programs will expand opportunities for the employees to contribute their efforts and allocate more COVID-19 relief funds. With new philanthropic programs, Cognizant is aiming to advance diversity and inclusion efforts in partnership with its Affinity Groups.
From 2021, Cognizant and its foundations are set to expand their CSR efforts beyond the US and India to new global markets including Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK with this new global commitment. Cognizant and its foundations are said to have impacted over four million people till date, working with more than 300 organizations with the voluntary participation of over 1,66,000 employees in the last five years.
