These places are no less than a boon when it comes to the exposure of city life with numerous opportunities in the field of education, employment and health. According to a recent survey being conducted by Sainik Welfare Organization, soldiers prefer to own a house in metros and big cities rather than in the rural areas or small towns. As per this survey, Bangalore and Hyderabad are most preferred locations among the 40 cities that soldiers would like to reside and/or be re-employed after their retirement.
SWO-India is launching low-cost housing solutions on a no-profit and no-loss concept through small real estate projects in various cities for numerous people who fall in specific segment. This specific segment includes people form defence, para-military and central security personnel, who are either retired or serving along with their spouses and dependents. Bangalore, Bikaner, Hissar, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Shimla, Udaipur and few more cities are going to be a part of it.
Chairman of SWO- India, Lt. Col. Rakesh Rana (Retd.) told media that the organization had already launched its housing project in Jaipur which has been a success with all 225 plots each varying between 140 and 300 sq yards. They will launch their future projects depending on their demand in market.
Providing low-cost housing solutions along with quality welfare social service to soldiers is SWO- India’s mission. Related activities also include security management and other vocational training programmes.
SWO- India is a non-governmental organization playing the role to make the process of providing housing solutions at affordable rates smoother, to specific segments of society. These segments includes central government uniformed personnel and the Retired personnel who have the right to a decent standard of living together within the same community after retirement from active service.
