Relaxo Foundation to redevelop Haridwar’s 32 primary schools through its CSR arm

The foundation will develop the said institutes under Parivartan model school project over next three years.  

Relaxo Foundation, Relaxo Footwear’s CSR arm,  has signed an MoU with Haridwar district’s School Education Department to redevelop 32 primary schools across the Khanpur block. The foundation will develop these institutes under Parivartan model school project over next three years.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat’s house in Dehradun between Dr. Anand Bhardwaj, Chief Executive officer, School Education Department of Haridwar District, CSR Head, Relaxo Foundation, Gambhir Agrawal and CSR Officer, Relaxo Foundation, Kumar Gaurav.

Some of the notable personalities who were also present at the time of signing the MoU include Neeraj Khaiwal, Additional Secretary to Chief Minister, C. Ravishankar, District Collector Haridwar, V S Chaturvedi DEO, among others.

“We will develop infrastructure part of each school, under Parivartan model school project. We will quip all the schools with Digital Learning concept, convert the existing building in Building as a Learning Aid (BaLA) concept, other than building new toilets, kitchen gardens, improving play grounds with sports materials and installing water purifying system,” said Gambhir Agrawal, CSR Head of Relaxo Foundation while talking about the development.

“Under Parivartan model school project, Foundation has already been working on redevelopment of 13 Government primary schools of Khanpur block, Haridwar district from January, 2018,” he added.

The aim of Relaxo Foundation through this CSR program is a school-led comprehensive development over the next three years.
