As a part of CSR expenditure, Rallis India Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Chemicals Limited, has contributed Rs. 4.64 crore towards social development works, abiding by the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. A special CSR committee has also been formed by the company.
The Company’s CSR initiatives involve Natural Resource Management (NRM), Education including Farmer Safety Awareness, Skill Development and developing Model Tribal Village under Affirmative Action.

It has developed its own Sustainability Model aiming on numerous CSR and AA initiatives.
Under NRM, the Rallis India Limited has laid special emphasis on water conservation through rainwater harvesting and recharging ground water. Jal Dhan benefits have been enjoyed by over 2 lakh villagers and it has harvested 1.97 Million Cubic Meter water during financial year 2019-20. Additionally, more than 98,000 tree saplings are planted by the organisation.
The Company has a dedicated team for handling CSR activities and planning key strategies with domain experts and professionals. Its employees are the key stakeholders who support the CSR and AA initiatives. With a major focus on giving back to the society, they take keen interest and volunteer for various social causes. As per its report of the year under review, more than 600 employees from the company participated actively for its CSR initiatives.
