To have a sane mind in a fit body is perhaps the biggest blessing. For most of us this is quite normal, at least during a major part of our life. But there are many for whom this is a luxury they seldom achieve. Life isn’t fair. Some get more, some get less. But we are all humans at the end of the day. There is nothing bigger than serving humanity. People who are mentally challenged have a difficult and different life. For us, buttoning our shirts must be an instinctive action but for many, it is a herculean task. Their brain alters the entire motor skill set. But thankfully, there are various NGOs which work towards helping such mentally challenged people. One such organization is Neptune Foundation.
Neptune Group recently donated walkers at the female ward of Regional Mental Hospital Thane. The walker was presented by a team of workers of Neptune Foundation. Neptune Foundation is a trust set up by Neptune Group. The foundation works towards helping poor and needy people of the society with a special concern towards mentally ill people.Nayan Bheda, Trustee, Neptune Foundation said that the Neptune Foundation has been working towards making lives of such mentally different people better. He elaborated that Neptune Foundation is dedicated to make lives better for these people.
Such mentally different people are as human as we are and deserve to live a dignified life just as we do. Neptune Foundation tried to make a few lives simpler by donating walkers. The basic idea is that every contribution, howsoever small it might be, is worth a lot. It is not about doing big things but it is the intent that counts for far more.
Neptune Foundation has been working for various social causes including setting up mobile crèches, old age homes, providing education to underprivileged kids and a special attention on rehabilitation of mentally disabled destitute.
