As a sense of normalcy returns and malls are being reopened in the nation’s capital, Bajaj Foundation is taking the opportunity to initiate another COVID-19 vaccination drive. The non-profit organization has partnered with Fortis Escorts to start the vaccination drive at DLF Avenue, Saket, Delhi.
The vaccination campaign started on June 20 and will continue till June 27, 2021. Anybody above the age of 18 can avail the shots between 11 AM to 6 PM at DLF Avenue, Saket. Bajaj Foundation clarified that both doses of Covishield and the 2nd dose of Covaxin will be available at the venue.
Commenting on the initiative, Pankaj Bajaj, Founder of Bajaj Foundation said, “Our vaccine drive aims to support the vaccine ecosystem in getting India vaccinated faster. Malls are a happy place for people so this drive creates comfort for visitors and encourages them to get vaccinated. We are normalizing the vaccination experience in an endeavor to steer clear of the third wave. The vaccine center is now operational at DLF Avenue Mall in Delhi with Fortis Healthcare administering the vaccinations.”
The whole vaccination process will be conducted in the presence of a team of medical experts including doctors and even an emergency medical ambulance service. Registration for the drive can be done via Bajaj Foundation’s website, http://bajaj.foundation/vaccination/ or through the mandatory Cowin registrations.
This is not the first time that Bajaj Foundation has involved itself in such drives. Earlier this month, the foundation joined hands with Max Healthcare to launch a vaccination drive at Arya Samaj Mandir, New Friends Colony, New Delhi. The drive was held with similar goals in mind – vaccination of the population at a faster rate so that the effects of the third wave can be minimized.
In addition to conducting vaccination drives, the Bajaj Foundation has also provided indispensable help and support towards COVID-relief efforts. Almost 2,00,000 free meals through COVID-19 Food Drive have been distributed by the foundation. Vital medical supplies like oxygen cylinders, concentrators and PPE kits were also donated by the foundation to tackle the COVID menace.
