We all are blessed with conscience and well aware about the right and the wrong. But the selfishness takes over our mind which leads to ignorance of certain things and we fall in the trap of karma.
We all are on the same track. Me too! I am aware about the consequences of drink and drive, but I was confident enough that I can also handle my vehicle if I can handle myself after two shots or three. That confidence got lost the moment I came across Angela’s story.
People, who went through some tragedy in life, know the value of those things, which may be minor to some, but major to them and many. Those kind souls try their best to help others in the hour of need, as they can empathize with others. Angela is doing her bit from last two years, since her father met with that car accident because of someone else’s irresponsibility.
To mark that day in the memory of her father, she offers free ride to drunk people and drop them home with the help of her one more friend who drives. She is not only doing a good job, but also paying a tribute to her beloved father, who must be resting in peace now.
I would be shattered if something like that would happen to me. But this girl is the symbol of life and livelihood that everything is a part of life, we just have to move on and try to help others, if we can. That’s the essence of humanity that the suffered one looks after the suffering one.
Angela’s kindness story motivated me so much that I don’t drive my car whenever I get drunk, and I am doing it for the last 6 months. Her approach towards what life gave her makes me believe that yes, we can Cross Barriers with love and optimism.
Just felt like sharing it with you all, who knows if my motivation may inspire someone.
