Hyundai Distributes over 10,000 Khadi Masks as a CSR initiative

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has distributed more than 10,000 reusable Khadi masks across multiple slums of Mumbai. They have been distributed to help the underprivileged residents of Mumbai slums to prevent them from the ongoing pandemic.

Under the Hyundai Cares 2.0 CSR Program, Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor stated, “As a responsible and caring brand, Hyundai has been leading on the CSR front since the beginning of COVID-19 outbreak in India.”

Since the lockdown, Hyundai has stepped ahead to provide COVID-19 relief measures and also extended their support to the Government of Maharashtra in April 2020 by providing PPE kits, masks (3-Ply and N-95), sanitisers and dry rations.

These measures have continued to help the frontline warriors, support workers, healthcare staff and those sections of the society which have been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

During phase 2 of Hyundai Cares, the company would be supporting the country’s indigenous fabric ‘Khadi’ and run sanitization drives across many districts for a clean and healthy environment for the citizens of India.
