The chairman of SBI Dinesh Khara said on Tuesday that the healthcare, education, livelihood, skill development, environment protection and empowerment of women and youth are its area of focus to in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) division.
Talking in brief about the vision of CSR activities carried out by SBI, Khara said that the philosophy of the bank is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people who are economically, physically and socially challenged. SBI Foundation is undertaking the CSR activities of the bank in project mode.
Mr Dinesh Khara handed over a tractor and medical equipment to Shri Kalpavruksha Kamadhenu Trust and Ashray Akruti on his visit to Hyderabad. He attended a meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on Urban development (2020-21) and also held the Local Board Meeting at the head office of SBI.
During his visit, Mr Khara virtually inaugurated a Retail Asset Credit Processing Center for small and medium enterprises, which was setup by the bank in Kompally. The bank is participating in economic, environmental and social activities across Telangana, said SBI Hyderabad Circle Chief General Manager Om Prakash Mishra.
The organization has spent Rs 3 crore on various CSR activities across the state in the current fiscal year.
