Hero Motocorp has donated specially designed First Responder Vehicles to the Grahmin Arogya Centre in Beed, Maharashtra as a part of its CSR initiatives. The vehicles will facilitate better transportation for the poor and needy patients in rural areas so they can be easily reached out and moved to the nearest hospitals conveniently.
Designed as an accessory on the powerful Xtreme 200R motorcycles, the FRVs by Hero MotoCorp have been equipped with a full stretcher with a foldable hood mounted on the side. In addition to this, they come with all the essentials such as first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder and fire extinguisher. They also come with unique features such as LED Flasher Lights, foldable beacon light, emergency wireless public announcement system and siren.
Hero MotoCorp has taken up the initiative of providing these First Responder Vehicles to frontline healthcare workers of various state authorities. The vehicles are developed and designed by the engineers at the Hero’s Centre for Innovation and Technology, Jaipur and the New Model Centre (NMC), Gurgaon.
So far, the company has donated more than 34 FRVs to the government authorities of various states including Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In addition to handing over FRVs, Hero MotoCorp has distributed over 14 lakh meals, 37,000 litre sanitizers, 30 lakh face masks and almost 30,000 PPE kits across government hospitals, police departments and other agencies. The sanitizers have been manufactured by the company. To help women cops perform their patrolling duties more effectively amid the lockdown, it had also provided over 100 scooters equipped with essential police accessories as well as a GPS system, to the women police offers of Gorakhnath Mandir, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
