Heavy Lifters To The Rescue: CNH Industrial Announces Vaccination Campaign For All Employees In India

Industrial machinery and heavy-duty vehicles manufacturer CNH Industrial, announced the launch of its in-house vaccination drive for all of its employees in India. All associated costs will be borne by the company, which will allow its 4000-strong workforce to get themselves vaccinated.

The announcement was made after the decision of several state governments to ease lockdown measures and allow factories to open again on a limited basis. The availability of vaccines has also spurred vaccination drives across the nation by various companies as employees return to work.

Talking about the drive, Country Manager, CNH Industrial India & SAARC, Raunak Verma said, “Now that the vaccine availability has been confirmed, we have kicked off the vaccination for our employees at all our locations in a phased manner.”

Earlier this year, CNH had adopted several preventive measures to keep the health and safety of its India-based employees. Thermal screenings, appropriate social distancing, mandatory registration on the Arogya Setu app, provision of PPE kits along with regular sanitization were implemented in all its facilities.

CNH also went ahead and provided insurance for its workforce and their immediate families as well as financial support of Rs 50,000 for all employees who tested positive for the deadly virus. Home Care Coverage of Rs 20,000 for employees and their families was made available too. Moreover, CNH Industrial tied-up with Apollo Hospitals to provide a 24×7 helpline and created a task-force to track infected employees and aid them in all matters related to hospitalization and treatment.

Over 1 lakh masks and 50,000 bottles of hand sanitizers were donated to various district administrations as part of its COVID-19 Relief Intervention. Additionally, six sets of tractors and sprayers were also delivered to organizations in charge of sanitization.

The vaccination drive started on June 7 for CNH Industrial employees at the Greater Noida plant and will be followed by the Pithampur and Pune plants. The corporate office in Gurgaon will be included too, as per availability of the vaccine.
