Give India Foundation: Celebrating the joy of giving

The joy of giving is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. While atheists and theists debate on the existence of almighty, you can be the same for someone with a simple act of kindness. Give India Foundation is an organization that serves on the platform that noble act.

Their website puts their aim forward with simplicity, Give India Foundation exists to make a difference. It enables donations to many causes and institutions, including environmental conservation, poverty, orphanages, old age homes, and women issues. It also provides medical assistance to those who cannot afford costly treatments and operations.

How Give India works?

You can create an account on giveindia.org to get started. On the top left corner, there’s a preference for the choice of currency as well. You can choose from more than 1,000 donation options on Payroll Giving, which helps with monthly donations.

With Payroll Giving, you can choose a contribution amount, which gets deducted from your monthly salary and accumulates in your Give India account. Once the sum of the accumulation is more than Rs 250, you can select a donation cause of his/her choice.

Once the amount has been donated, you will shortly receive an e-tax receipt under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act. The best part about donating through Give India Foundation is that you’ll receive a detailed feedback report in 6 months, on how your donation has been used and how it has changed someone’s life.
