As a part of their initiative, The Freedom Healthy Cooking Oil Range has also come forward to organize a charity event for creating awareness and garnering funds. ‘Freedom Melody’, was the name of the event which saw the presence of gusseted Alka Yagnik, supporting the fundraiser event for Spoorthi Foundation. With more than 2000 attendees, the event garnered active support from people.

Several other major companies are collaborating with various NGO’s to help direct funding in both local areas as well as diverse causes. In support of this, Shubha Srinivasan, director, Deloitte India, made a statement about how imperative it is for firms to work with NGOs and help scale up operations in backward regions.

“It is critical to work and strengthen the capacities of not-for-profits with a footprint in these geographies, allowing pilot initiatives to scale and enhance their abilities to absorb more funding. A higher level of collaboration between the government, industry, and NGOs through a special purpose vehicle/platform can be considered,” Srinivasan said.

Freedom Healthy cooking Oil has been, for long, extending its support to developmental activities for the unprivileged sections of the society. The fund collected will be directed towards catering basic needs of these children including education and healthcare.

P Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Vice President (Sales & Marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oil Range, said, “As part of our CSR initiative to support the education and well-being of the children from the marginalised sections of the society, we are happy and delighted to associate with Spoorthi Foundation in supporting the orphan & destitute children. Our contribution will help the foundation in supporting education for orphans and the girl child.”

The initiative proves to be a great measure in supporting unprivileged children become responsible citizens of the future through providing them quality education and healthcare.
