Founder of MUrgency, Sweta Mangal gives an inspiring talk at the empower 2018 Cohort Announcement event

Sweta Mangal, the founder and director of MUrgency, (a global emergency response network), gave an inspiring talk at the 3rd edition of empower Cohort Announcement event. She kicked off the event with a talk on women entrepreneurs, constantly innovating and building businesses.

Launched in 2016, empoWer is India’s first technology accelerator for women entrepreneurs. The event is aimed at selecting top 15 startup entrepreneurs for each track, consisting of women building technology businesses & women-led impact ventures leveraging technology for social good. Over the past two years, 35 women entrepreneurs have been part of 2 cohorts.

 

Having won a number of awards in the past, Sweta Mangal is often found at the forefront of such events, leading the way for other women to follow the suit. She has a nice history of working in healthcare, education and Health-tech industry. Sweta is also well-known for being the founder of MUrgency, a healthcare venture established to sophisticate the conventional emergency services for the patients.

Recognizing her work in the healthcare sector, Sweta Mangal was awarded for being one of the ‘50 Outstanding Women in Healthcare’ at the World Health Congress in 2017. Apart from this, she has been honored with several other awards in the past. She has gone from strength to strength, inspiring several women around the around.
