Bangalore-based NGO, Akshaya Patra is leading on the path of acknowledging talents of those artists, who capture every moment in a frame which dramatically narrates the whole story to the viewer. Akshaya Patra’s Annual Photography Competition, ‘Click a Smile’ is an international platform for all the pro photographers along with those who are in the learning phase.
The interested enthusiasts may upload up to three 4 MB photographs with a minimum resolution of 800 pixels, with one more jewel added to them, i.e. a smiling child or children, before December 22, 2015. Giving caption and description to the photograph, is a must, while uploading the same, as they will define the emotion behind the representation. Senior Creative Director of JWT Bangalore, Kanick Samuel and CKP graduate Suresh V.B., who has worked with O&M for almost a decade, will be judging the photographs submitted by the participants across the World along with Vicky Roy, who was hired by US-based Maybach Foundation to capture every moment of World Trade Centre’s remarkable reconstruction, in 2008.
The exclusive panel of jury will select top 3 winners from all the participants and best 50 photographs will also be displayed at the Annual Photography Exhibition of Akshaya Patra. The credits of the photograph will totally be given to the artist behind the camera.
Akhaya Patra is a not-for-profit organisation which strives to fight issues like hunger and malnutrition in India. By implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the Government schools and Government aided schools, Akshaya Patra Foundation aims not only to fight hunger but also to bring children to school.
