Blind Relief Association organises the Diwali Bazar 2019, an event supporting a Noble Cause.

Organised since 1980 and housing more than 250 stalls with vendors from across the country, the Blind Relief Association’s Blind School Diwali Mela or popularly known as Diwali Bazaar has been able to attract a significant number of people to its shopping paradise.

A popular festive destination, the week-long Diwali Bazar has continuously been organised on the premises of the organisation at Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg in New Delhi. This festive season you can visit the Diwali Bazaar from 18th to 24th October 2019, from 10:30 AM to 08: 00 PM.

Awarded with the prestigious National Award for the ‘Best Institution working for the Cause of Persons with Disabilities’ by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Blind Relief Association is working from the past seventy-five years for the empowerment of visually impaired persons by imparting education and skills. The association is also celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year.

It all started as a small event to showcase products made by visually impaired trainees and staff of the association. The Bazar is famous for its colourful candles and Diyas which are available in more than seventy-five varieties.

While the whole world has recently started emphasizing upon sustainable development and protection of the environment by going plastic-free lives, the Bazar has been offering a variety of paper products such as bags, papier-mâché plates and cups, and envelopes since years. Moreover, it also offers a range of cloth products stitched by the trainees of the association. You can also contribute to a greener planet by purchasing plants and papier-mâché pots available at the Bazar.

Besides, you can buy unusual and the whole set of unique designer wears, home-décor items, gift items, herbal products and many more things exclusively at the Diwali Bazar. Interestingly, you can also avail soothing head, shoulder and foot massage from the trainees pursuing Relaxation Massage Training Programme at the association.

By purchasing the products from the Diwali Bazar, you can help the association in their noble cause – in financing the diverse services for the development of the visually impaired people, which helps the society in getting aware about the lives and capabilities of the visually impaired people.

At the Bazar, other NGOs can exhibit and sell products made by differently-abled artisans and people from an underprivileged background.

For the foodies, there are some tasty food options available at the place. This festive season, don’t miss out visiting this beautiful Diwali Bazaar located in the heart of Delhi, with your family and friends!
