NCR based leading real estate developer Ace Group in collaboration with the district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar launched CSR campaign ‘Nirmalaya – Ek Komal Pahal’. With the aim of spreading awareness on the topic of menstrual hygiene amongst the women, Ace Group installed sanitary pad vending machines across Noida and Greater Noida region-based government schools.
Under Nirmalaya campaign, while encouraging women to maintain health and hygiene, the realty firm will distribute free of cost sanitary napkins through vending machines. Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director of Ace Group, Ajay Chaudhary, said, “We are proud to have been associated with Nirmalya, an inspiring campaign dedicated to women. In the first phase of the campaign, we have targeted the schools, which are the only places where the foundation of any civilised society and its citizens takes shape”.
He also added that this initiative is in line with the motto of Ace Group that that is to organise social awareness campaigns so that the women as well as the society at large could benefit from it. He said that women “are the real architects of the society and the nation. Hence, without ensuring the health and fitness of women we cannot achieve the goal of making India a healthy and prosperous nation.”
The campaign was launched under the CSR arm of the Ace Group, “Ace Charitable Foundation”. Along with the installation of the machines, under the campaign, the group will also run a number of awareness programmes to educate school girls on safe menstrual hygiene practices. The experts introduced several do’s and don’ts and usage of sanitary napkins to the school girls across government schools such as RSS Inter College Bishara, CRS Girls Inter College Sadarpur, Amichand Inter College Kasna, Shriram Model Inter College Thora and Adarsh Inter college Ranhera amongst others.
