ETAWAH (UP): Bimtech launched the 7th prison library known as BIMTECH PUSTAKALYA in the district Jail Etawah. The library was launched with the support of Ranganathan Society under the BIMTECH CSR initiative.
K. Shrivastava CDO – Etawah, Prof. Chari and R. K. Singh (Jail Superintendent) inaugurated the library in the presence of many businessmen, social workers, academicians and hundreds of jail inmates.
The project of establishing libraries started in the year 2012 under the BIMTECH CSR initiative, under the guidance and directions of Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director – Bimtech for the mental, economic, social and economic rehabilitation of jail inmates.
Lucknow, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Agra and Aligarh are the places where BIMTECH-Pustakalay are running successfully. “Library therapy” is creating the demand for opening the libraries in other jails are increasing every day.
“My sincere thanks to all the friends who extended their unconditional support for this project,” said Dr Rishi Tiwari, lead for library development.
BIMTECH is planning to shortly establish three more libraries in different districts of Uttar Pradesh.
