Smile Foundation

Triumph Motorcycles united with Smile Foundation to support the cause of Girl Child Education on the occasion of Indian independence. “Ride for Freedom” was a campaign of Triumph Motorcycles in which participants of the Campaign (Triumph Riders) took the pledge to donate the amount ranging between Rs 500 to Rs 4,200 for girl child education as it included education expenses for them.

The campaign was organized across all dealerships of Triumph Motorcycles in India, which recently are 12 in numbers. Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycle India, Mr. Vimal Sumbly showed his concern towards the issue by addressing the lack of education for women in various parts of country as they are deprived of the same because of some orthodox norms which are being followed in “modern India” till date. He said that true independence is that when we all can enjoy all the fundamental rights of our country. “As India enters into its 69 years of Independence, Triumph Motorcycle owners will ride their bikes to pledge for this freedom”, he added further.

On the declaration of this initiative Mr. Vikram Singh Verma, COO of Smile Foundation said that it is a very heartening gesture by Triumph Motorcycles India, who have come forward to join hands with Smile Foundation on this Independence Day for the noble cause of providing education to a girl child belonging to the less privileged sections of the society. He further focused on quality education which he called essential for girl child to attain freedom for herself in this independent country.
